Former actress falls in drug bust
Former sexy actress Sabrina M. was arrested Sunday night in a drug bust in Quezon City.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Senior Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said Sabrina M, (Karen Salas Palasigui in real life), 36, was apprehended before midnight after a poseur buyer arranged to buy P6,000 worth of shabu in her residence at No.9 Pulangui Street, Napocor Village, Barangay Pasong Tamo.
Also arrested during the operation were Erwin Suba San Martin, 29, and Edwin Locsin Coloma, 38. The two were caught in the act of sniffing shabu inside the former actress’s house.
Police seized from them plastic sachets containing shabu and drug paraphernalia.
The suspects will be charged for violations of Sections 5, 26, 13, and 11 Art II of R.A. 9165 otherwise known as the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
“The arrest of the former actress and her cohorts should serve as an eye opener to everybody that our campaign against illegal drugs is regardless of social status in life,” Eleazar said.
Eleazar issued the warning as Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa said celebrities included in the drug list of President Rodrigo Duterte will be subjected to “Oplan Tokhang.”
Reports said there are at least 50 celebrities in the list which the PNP chief said he has yet to see.
“Kung ibigay ni Presidente sa akin yung listahan na yun, gusto mo i-Tokhang natin sila? Ito-Tokhang natin. Sama kayo? (If the President will give me that list, we will placed them under “Tokhang.” You want to come along?)” Dela Rosa told reporters Monday.
Under the PNP’s “Oplan Tokhang,” policemen knock on the houses of suspected drug users and pushers and urge them to surrender.
Incoming Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) chairman Martin Diño revealed over the weekend that there are least 50 celebrities who are in the President’s drug list.
Diño said at least 10 of the 50 celebrities are suspected pushers. The rest are mostly party drugs users.
Dela Rosa said he would personally visit the celebrities’ homes and TV networks.
