PDEA dismantles drug den in Mabalacat City
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon dismantled a drug den in Mabalacat City recently.
PDEA-Central Luzon Information Officer Glenn Guillermo said that anti-narcotics team served a search warrant at the residence of certain Romel Arolfo a.k.a. “Maton” in Barangay Dau. Following a surveillance, Guillermo said it has been proven that Arolfo’s residence was used in pot session and selling and repacking of illegal drugs. “The arrest of the suspects and discovery of the den in Barangay Dau was the result of a month long surveillance following a report from a concern citizen,” Guillermo said. The operation resulted to the arrest of Redante Miranda, 36; Robert Cruz, 42; Erwin Velasco; 37; and Jayson Cabanding, 34, who were all caught in the act of using shabu.
Also confiscated from the drug den are 11.9 grams of shabu with a street value of P74,100 and different paraphernalia. Suspects are now detained at PDEA 3 Jail Facility in Diosdado Macapagal Government Center, Barangay Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Charges for violation of Section 6 (maintenance of drug, den or resort), Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), Section 12 (possession of drug paraphernalia) and Section 15 (use of dangerous drugs) Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous DRugs Act are being readied against the suspects.
