PO2 Omega receives P200K
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A police officer who was wounded during a buy-bust operation in Olongapo City received yesterday P200,000 as bounty reward.
Chief Superintendent Aaron Aquino, Police Regional Office III (PRO3) director, said the reward was given to Police Officer-2 (PO2) Arnie Omega, a member of the Olongapo City police.
Aquino recognized the bravery of Omega who was wounded during an anti-illegal drug operation through the reward.
Omega was wounded in action during the successful conduct of the anti-illegal drugs operation on September 3, 2016, he said.
Aquino personally visited Omega at a hospital in Olongapo City and personally handed over the P200,000 which will help facilitate his immediate surgery.
“I will not hesitate to give rewards to our PNP personnel who are wounded in action and we recognize the efforts of our men and women in the performance of their jobs,” Aquino said. (Ric Sapnu)
